The ZH06 is a suggestion only.
Coinsider an SPS30 or other to satisfy the requirements.

NB! The SPS30 has a fan and self-cleaning cycle

Welding/grinding booth

  • Metal fumes, very fine particles (PM1.0, PM2.5 dominant)
  • Potentially corrosive atmosphere — metal oxides, ozone from welding arc
  • Higher peak concentrations, possibly exceeding normal PM ranges
  • Heat near the sensor if mounted too close to work area
  • The SPS30 is rated for this — it has a protective coating on the laser optics

Wood shop

  • Coarser dust (PM4.0, PM10 dominant)
  • Higher volume of particles but less chemically aggressive
  • Sawdust can clog a sensor faster than metal fumes
  • The SPS30 has a fan and self-cleaning cycle — important here
